They've essentially put a social layer on the stock market, so you can own the companies you believe in and share ideas with a community of investors. Think of Public, like Venmo meets Twitter. And you can even follow us there and join the @investrly chat group.

investrly Thought of the Week
(The importance of a plan)
When your investments are going up, it may be hard to see it. However, when your investments are going down, the need for a plan becomes very apparent. Following a volatile week in markets which saw a violent tech sell-off, a spotlight shines on the importance of a diversified portfolio plan.
This is a great time to reset and recheck. If you’ve formulated a solid investment plan, have confidence and conviction in it. If not, start formulating now. From the initial newsletter, we’ve instilled the need for a plan built around diversifying opportunities whether referring to high-interest savings, real estate, stocks or cryptocurrencies. These opportunities are made better when utilizing specific strategies such as initial investment and portfolio weighting. Now mix in a mindset that practices patience, perseverance, and perspective.
Recognize as a long term investor there will be short term bumps in the road. Going forward we plan on presenting new ideas to enhance overall portfolio diversification. All in the common goal of helping you invest early in yourself.

Direct Public Offering (DPO)
A direct public offering (DPO) is a type of offering in which a company offers its securities directly to the public to raise capital. An issuing company using a DPO eliminates the intermediaries—investment banks, broker-dealers, and underwriters—that are typical in initial public offerings (IPO), and self-underwrites its securities.
