This week’s newsletter highlights why consumer products may cost you more in the future. We also shine the spotlight on a new innovative product we are excited about investing early in. So, follow along and see why you may want to “WRAP” your portfolio in it.
Stocks were volatile last week due to the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) meeting last Wednesday. Federal Reserve Chairman, Jerome Powell, announced no changes to current policy, however, interest rates may increase in 2023. While the Federal Reserve continues to aggressively print money and keep interest rates low, the fear of inflation lingers amongst market participants.

What is Inflation?
Inflation is the decline of purchasing power of a given currency over time. A quantitative estimate of the rate at which the decline in purchasing power occurs can be reflected in the increase of an average price level of a basket of selected goods and services in an economy over some period of time. The rise in the general level of prices, often expressed as a percentage, means that a unit of currency effectively buys less than it did in prior periods.

Stock - Wrap Technologies (WRAP)
Wrap Technologies is an innovator of modern policing solutions. The company’s BolaWrap product is a patented, hand-held remote restraint device that discharges an 8-foot bola style Kevlar® tether to entangle an individual at a range of 10-25 feet.
The “BolaWrap” device is a potential game-changer in safer policing for both suspects and police. We’ve been impressed with the company after watching them for more than a year continue to execute while participating in investor presentations and earnings calls. They’ve continued to enhance their team while grow overall market presence. We recognize this as a domestic and globally accepted product. Wrap also listens to their investors when presented with ideas. 😉
Learn more by watching the video below where CEO Tom Smith (also co-founder of Taser) spoke about WRAP. This is a company to put on your watch list and consider adding to your long-term portfolio.
