Mainnet 2021
Mainnet 2021, the cryptocurrency conference from Messari, was live and in person this year from New York City and included over 150 speakers in 100+ sessions. It was the center of the blockchain world for the better part of the week. We attended the conference, thanks to Messari founder, Ryan Selkis, and ideamarket.io. We invested early in multiple sessions around DeFi, Lending, NFTs, Robinhood Crypto Wallet, and met with a number of teams to explore even more. Here are a few highlights from the event:
NFTs as physical merchandise will be something you’ll begin to see regularly in the near future. NFTs are brands and will expand rapidly to include apparel, gaming, films and more. The cultural shift is already happening:

Remittance
A remittance refers to a money transfer that is sent as a payment or gift to another party. You may send a payment remittance to meet a bill or invoice obligation. Transfers sent abroad from foreign workers to their family in a native country are also known as remittances. Jack Mallers, CEO of Strike, recently partnered with Twitter to allow free remittance payments around the world.

The Audio Series
In our continued “A Conversation With” audio series, we welcomed Matthew Tuttle, CEO of Tuttle Capital Management, and Julian Klymochko, CEO of Accelerate to talk about ETFs, SPACs, crypto and the importance of a diversified portfolio. We also brought on subSPAC’s Bill SPACman to get his perspective on investments. We archived this insightful conversation for anyone who missed it and/or wants to listen again.
