Weekly Recap
Due to fear of potential inflation, the 10 year treasury yield continued it’s steep rise and drove the tech-heavy Nasdaq down. However, on Friday, a strong jobs report curtailed the stock market sell-off. Also, the U.S. Senate passed a $1.9 trillion stimulus plan meaning many Americans will be receiving a new round of money in the near future.
Understanding a Correction
In financial markets, a correction is a decline of 10% or more in the price of a security from it’s most recent peak. Corrections can happen to individual assets, like a stock or bond, or to an index measuring a group of assets.
These past two weeks brought a correction to the Nasdaq. As an investor, it’s important to understand corrections in the market are inevitable and timing them is nearly impossible. Invest early and have confidence in your long-term investing goals.

High Interest Savings 2.0 💰 BlockFi
A simple yet effective starting point to investing early and securing your financial future is to improve your passive income. Banks offer a “high interest savings account” with .4%. This doesn't even keep up with inflation and, in simple terms, means your money is becoming less valuable. Enter BlockFi, the “future of finance,” a centralized lending platform which pays you 8.6% interest on your U.S. dollar.
Join today and start earning now. Connect your bank account and transfer money for free via ACH to begin the process. BlockFi pays you interest at the end of each month.
We’ve been sharing this opportunity since last Summer (see image of real returns). During this time, BlockFi has grown significantly. It will become a public company this year and they partnered with Visa to launch the world’s first Bitcoin rewards credit card. We’re definitely bullish on BlockFi.
