Thought of the Week
The debt ceiling debate was kicked down the road two months, but make no mistake, the nation’s debt continues to rise. The debt ceiling is a prime example why we recommend diversifying your overall investing strategy. You can no longer simply rely on the old school method of saving cash in a bank account and investing in the stock market as a means to get ahead. With the purchasing power of the dollar continuing to decline and the stock market at the constant mercy of government (centralized) control, it’s imperative to incorporate new investment opportunities.
To date, we’ve written 40 volumes all about investing; from the simplicity of a credit score or earning passive income to the complexity of NFTs and Decentralized Finance. Each volume has the purpose of a short-term addition multiplying into a longer term plan, which involves understanding where to invest. We’re glad you’re on this journey with us!

Michael’s Take: I’ve been using Mint since I was a freshmen at Syracuse University over a decade ago. It has helped me never miss a credit card payment, check all accounts at once and keep me informed on where my budget is and isn’t working. Regardless of your financial situation, it’s always important to balance your budget.
The October Effect

The October effect is considered mainly to be a psychological expectation rather than an actual phenomenon as most statistics go against the theory. Some investors may be nervous during October because the dates of some large historical market crashes occurred during this month.
