This past week, we attended the largest NFT conference in the world, NFT.NYC, in person in New York City. Immediately after checking into the conference, the first surprise showed up: Academy Award winning director Quentin Tarantino sharing his excitement around NFTs and how he plans to get involved.
The energy was palpable and continued as Gary Vee broke down his vision inside a standing-room only session at the Edison ballroom.
A couple hours later, we heard from Reddit founder, Alexis Ohanian, who is extremely bullish on the industry and metaverse. He proceeded to tell the packed room everyone was early and going to make it.
We attended a packed Chainlink meetup with Chainlink Labs’ Andy Boyan moderating a panel around NFTs and how Chainlink’s Verifiable Random Function is helping secure truth and randomness in the growing NFT ecosystem.
From listening to Quentin Tarantino, to attending the Coolcats party, to meeting the wealthiest living artist in the world, the highlights were non stop. But the real highlight was the community we wrote about exactly 3 months ago in Volume 31; “The Summer of NFTs”. They showed up, showed out, and showed us the power is stronger than ever. At NFT.NYC, you were reminded of the community outside of social media and in person. The excitement to be together. The energy to create more. The expression of a burgeoning ecosystem that still feels early. It’s all so exhilarating and makes you think we are all so early. When the amazing conference finally wrapped, we were exhausted, excited, and exhilarated for the experience and the ever-growing NFT community.
